Loss Prevention is an original work by artist Mack Shaw, drawn entirely by hand over 180 hours using a 0.05 micron pen. At its center are two of humanity's oldest symbols of protection and guidance — the lighthouse and the moon — standing watch over a churning, indifferent sea. Every wave, every star, every ripple of reflected light was placed one dot and line at a time.
The title isn't ironic. It's a quiet argument that some things — light, attention, presence — are worth keeping.
